Dan Finnegan – Clinical Director

Dan Finnegan is part of the CBT and DBT teams, and leads DBT skills groups. He has an extensive background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified DBT Clinician. He brings humor, empathy and a non-judgmental open mind to his work with older school age children, adolescents and young adults. His areas of specialty include anxiety, trauma (PTSD), panic disorders, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and behavior and emotional dysregulation.

Dan has worked at the Behavioral Research and Treatment Clinics (BRTC) with Marsha Linehan, PhD, treatment developer of DBT, since 2000 as a member of the DBT consultation team, research therapist and supervisor of UW doctoral students. He worked with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration in Washington State for 17 years. He is also a trainer for therapists and agencies in evidence-based treatments with Behavioral Tech. Dan completed his graduate studies at University of Washington.

His personal interests include fishing and following Husky football.
