Dan Finnegan – Clinical Director

Dan Finnegan is part of the CBT and DBT teams, and leads DBT skills groups. He has an extensive background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified DBT Clinician. He brings humor, empathy and a non-judgmental open mind to his work with older school age children, adolescents and young adults. His areas of specialty include anxiety, trauma (PTSD), panic disorders, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and behavior and emotional dysregulation.

Dan has worked at the Behavioral Research and Treatment Clinics (BRTC) with Marsha Linehan, PhD, treatment developer of DBT, since 2000 as a member of the DBT consultation team, research therapist and supervisor of UW doctoral students. He worked with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration in Washington State for 17 years. He has also serves as trainer for therapists and agencies in evidence-based treatments with Behavioral Tech. Dan completed his graduate studies at University of Washington.

His personal interests include fishing and following Husky football.
